Computerized Spinal Thermography

As a serious health care provider, your doctor of chiropractic knows how important it is to gather objective, scientific data to better understand how well your body’s nervous system is functioning.

That is why Dr. Saclamacis cares enough about his patients to only use the best in technology. The MyoVision was designed to meet the highest standards for reliability and performance.  You can rest assured, when your doctor uses MyoVision he is providing you with care validated by colleges and researchers alike.

Thermography is a picture of physiology as an X-ray is a picture of anatomy. Its function is to detect and evaluate unequal temperature from one side of the spine to the other.

The Myovision thermal scan will be performed at your initial visit and at specific intervals during the course of your care to evaluate and monitor the functioning of your nervous system.

Skin temperature should be relatively even from left to right sides (within 0 - 0.3 degrees Celcius).  If there is a large difference in skin temperature, this means that there is more blood flowing to one side.  This is an indication of something interfering with the autonomic component of the nervous system. This nerve interference demonstrates that the body is functioning in a poor and unhealthy state.

When misalignments or fixations occur in the spine, or more specifically termed a Vertebral Subluxation, the resulting nerve irritation will be mediated through the sympathetic nervous system (among other negative effects on optimum global body function).

This nerve interference will result in thermal asymmetries in skin temperature paraspinally. Over time, the powerful neurological effect of chiropractic adjustments can help reduce nerve interference and improve physiological functioning.

As a Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. Saclamacis's greatest concern is clearing you of subluxations for the purpose of maintaining optimal health.
